The West had a calm response to Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s announcement that he would run for president in 2012.
On Saturday, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych visited Russia to discuss problematic issues in bilateral relations between Russian and Ukraine at an informal meeting with the Russian leadership.
