“We are with you today, and we feel for you,” Putin said, addressing the victims of the tragedy on the Volga River. He said that he has signed a resolution offering payment to the families of the dead and injured.
“Russia and the EU face similar economic challenges, which is yet another argument for our further integration. Today we discussed coordinating our efforts, as well as the possibility of drafting long term development plans for specific sectors…”
“In Russia, there is an absolute consensus on our relations with France. All our political forces hold the development of these relations in the highest regard and will do their utmost to ensure that we continue to move forward as we have today,” the prime minister said.
“Today we have made an important step toward expanding our bilateral partnership: we signed the ambitious Russian-Ukrainian Economic Cooperation Programme for 2011-2020. We intend to base it on the most promising areas of cooperation. The implementation of these plans will not only strengthen long-standing trade and economic ties but also create new science-intensive high-tech industries,” said the Russian prime minister.
“The most important thing is to seek out new people with fresh and interesting ideas that the country needs. On the whole, the process is going as we expected,” Mr Putin said about the formation of the Russian Popular Front.
“Russia is firmly committed to working in this direction just as effectively as it did over the last two years, during which it essentially changed the paradigm of post-Soviet integration,” said the Russian prime minister.
“I have no doubt that the 2016 World Ice Hockey Championship in Russia will be held to the highest standard. Russians love ice hockey – roughly half a million people play ice hockey in Russia, and there are millions of hockey fans, without exaggeration.”
“Both Sweden and Russia are emerging quite confidently from a difficult period brought about by the global financial crisis and recession. This fact provides a solid basis for the development of our bilateral relations in all the important areas of cooperation.”
“I would like to stress the successful development of Russian-Danish ties at all levels, and the strengthening of contacts between parliaments, agencies and regions. I am confident that the documents signed today will promote further Russian-Danish cooperation,” the Russian prime minister said to the media.
“We are overcoming the aftermath of the global economic crisis and steadily increasing trade. It grew by more than a quarter last year to $1.4 billion, and Russia has firmly established itself among Serbia’s leading trade partners.”
