“The meeting participants considered a draft declaration on the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union. We expect the “troika” heads of state to sign the declaration as early as December. The idea of setting up the Eurasian Economic Union will thus assume a concrete shape.”

The latest round of Russian-Chinese talks in Beijing has reaffirmed the truly strategic nature of bilateral relations, Mr Putin told the media, adding that the political dialogue between the two countries continues to advance, the horizons of their cultural exchange are expanding, and economic and regional cooperation is growing stronger.
“The Common Economic Space should be operational starting on January 1, 2012, resulting in a higher level of integration between Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. I am confident that this substantial and far-reaching project will be implemented successfully.”
Vladimir Putin expressed his hope that the global economy will begin to recover. “Perhaps not as quickly as we would all like, but it will begin to gradually recover,” the prime minister said.
“We are with you today, and we feel for you,” Putin said, addressing the victims of the tragedy on the Volga River. He said that he has signed a resolution offering payment to the families of the dead and injured.
“In Russia, there is an absolute consensus on our relations with France. All our political forces hold the development of these relations in the highest regard and will do their utmost to ensure that we continue to move forward as we have today,” the prime minister said.
“Today we have made an important step toward expanding our bilateral partnership: we signed the ambitious Russian-Ukrainian Economic Cooperation Programme for 2011-2020. We intend to base it on the most promising areas of cooperation. The implementation of these plans will not only strengthen long-standing trade and economic ties but also create new science-intensive high-tech industries,” said the Russian prime minister.
“The most important thing is to seek out new people with fresh and interesting ideas that the country needs. On the whole, the process is going as we expected,” Mr Putin said about the formation of the Russian Popular Front.
“Russia is firmly committed to working in this direction just as effectively as it did over the last two years, during which it essentially changed the paradigm of post-Soviet integration,” said the Russian prime minister.
“I have no doubt that the 2016 World Ice Hockey Championship in Russia will be held to the highest standard. Russians love ice hockey – roughly half a million people play ice hockey in Russia, and there are millions of hockey fans, without exaggeration.”
“Both Sweden and Russia are emerging quite confidently from a difficult period brought about by the global financial crisis and recession. This fact provides a solid basis for the development of our bilateral relations in all the important areas of cooperation.”

"We want to increase the volume of investment. There are currently 200 companies operating with Slovenian participation in 50 Russian regions.. And, without a doubt, we welcome our Slovenian partners’ interest in expanding their cooperation on the Russian market even further.”

“Without a doubt, this visit has been very successful. Apart from the major projects that we discussed today, <…> we have settled a number of practical issues that open further avenues of cooperation to us,” said the Russian prime minister.
“Come and see for yourselves how we are preparing for the FIFA World Cup-2018. That will be a good way to see Russia, to tour its cities and to understand the country better. Russia is developing, it is on the upsurge, and it will become even stronger by 2018.”
“We have agreed to continue to provide joint business initiatives with the necessary political and organisational support. We are striving to move away from traditional, mainly commercial forms of interaction towards full-scale technological and industrial cooperation, to create strategic alliances between Russian and German companies in several key industries.”
“The goals set forth in the Global Programme for Tiger Conservation cannot be achieved without the active participation of ordinary citizens. Broad public support and understanding of the process are extremely important for the success of the programme.”
“We are willing to continue our dialogue on all issues of concern to both parties, and I am confident that we will always find mutually acceptable solutions,” the Russian prime minister said following talks in Kiev.
“Today, during our complicated discussions, we managed to reach acceptable, coordinated solutions on the most difficult issues. This gives me hope that it will be much easier to make progress than it has been,” the Russian prime minister said.
Vladimir Putin believes Russia has a very good chance of winning the 2018 World Cup bid.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin stated that the merger of the aircraft industries of Russia and Ukraine is inevitable, but that the merger must be based solely on market principles. The prime minister explained that this will require an independent appraisal of the market value of the two countries’ aircraft companies. The prime minister emphasised that these appraisals must form the basis for deciding which sectors to merge and to what extent.
"We do everything we can to boost cooperation between Russia and Turkey. We have indeed achieved good results in energy, industry and agriculture."
“Russian-Finnish relations provide very good bearings for many other European countries as they form relations with the Russian Federation… It is certainly a factor of European stability,” the Russian Prime Minister said during a joint news conference.
