The message reads, in part:
"I was grieved to learn about the devastating earthquake in the province of Qinghai that claimed many lives and caused severe damage.
On behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation, I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the families of those who died and wish those injured a speedy recovery".
