Damdiny Demberel, Speaker of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia

Trade economist and political scientist by training. Speaks English and Russian.
1964 - 1966 - The Khovd Aimag Trade Directorate, Deputy Head.
1968 - 1970 - Instructor, lecturer; the Party Cabinet of the Khovd Aimag of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP), Chief.
1970 - 1972 - The Khovd Aimag Committee of the Mongolian Revolutionary Youth Union (MRYU), First Secretary.
1972 - 1990 - Instructor; the MRYU Central Committee, Department Head; the MPRP Central Committee, Team Leader.
1990 -1992 - The Zavkhan Aimag Committee of the MPRP, First Secretary.
1992 - Elected to the State Small Hural.
1992 - 1994 - The State Great Hural, Head of the MPRP parliamentary group.
1996 - 2000, 2000 - 2004 - The State Great Hural, member.
2004 - Elected to the State Great Hural from the 44th Constituency (the Khovd Aimag) as an MPRP nominee.
