Born July 24, 1957.
Graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Mechanized Agriculture (TIIMSKh) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Ph.D. in Engineering. Professor.
1981-1992: junior research fellow and first deputy rector of the TIIMSKh.
1992-1996: head of administration of the Mirzo Ulugbek District of Tashkent;
1996-2011: head of administration of the Dzhizak Region.
2001: head of administration of the Samarkand Region.
December 11, 2003: confirmed as prime minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan by parliament.
