Vladimir Putin strolls yesterday night through Ljubljana with Slovenia’s Prime Minister Borut Pahor and City Mayor Zoran Jankovic

As Prime Minister Vladimir Putin dined in the Brdo Castle after two-way talks, his Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor suggested that they admire Ljubljana by night.

Putin and Pahor arrived together in the city centre. The delegation walked down a central Ljubljana street to City Hall, where Putin received two gifts – a painting by a local artist symbolising peace among nations, and a small statuette of a dragon – the symbol of Ljubljana. The Russian prime minister also wrote an entry in the guestbook for distinguished visitors.

Strolling through the Slovenian capital, Putin inquired about the restoration of the city's historical centre, inspected tourist attractions, and dropped by one of Ljubljana's most well-known restaurants – AS.
