From 2000 on, the KAMAZ-Master team has won the Paris-Dakar competition every year, with the exception of 2001 and 2007. In 2008, the rally was canceled due to security concerns. Since 2009, the rally is held in Latin America. The crew led by Vladimir Chagin has six wins to its credit, including their 2010 victory, while Firdaus Kabirov's crew won the 2005 and 2009 rallies.
Today, the team includes five World Cup winners, eight holders of the international Master of Sports Degree as well as six Honored Masters of Sports, making it the most successful team in the history of Russian motorsports.
KAMAZ-Master develops and assembles all of its racing trucks. The team includes engineers, production personnel, administrators, a PR department and a complete assembly shop.
The team has been running domestically-designed trucks ever since the beginning and thus promotes Russian vehicle production internationally, improving the image of Russian motoring.
