Prime Minister Putin's address at the ceremony:

Now that these contracts have been concluded, I would like to remind you that the government provided various types of assistance to KAMAZ last year. A total of 25 billion roubles were allocated to the company: 19 billion roubles went to the direct purchase of vehicles, and a further 6 billion roubles were allotted through a leasing agency. This government assistance helped the company to sell 40% of its production.

Furthermore, KAMAZ is involved in a government assistance programme that provides another 4.6 billion roubles in the form of government guarantees. The purchase contracts signed today are similar in form to the contracts signed last year. We are continuing to provide assistance.

In addition, a series of contracts worth 10 billion roubles were signed, and this is not the full extent of the assistance that will be provided to the company. In this regard, I would like to note that other automotive manufacturers, such as GAZ and VAZ, will also be backed by the government through the continued purchases of vehicles for federal and municipal needs.

I would like to welcome our partners, representatives of one of the world's largest automotive manufacturers, which has purchased another package today, expanding its stake in KAMAZ's share capital. The government, in the form of Russian Technologies state corporation, may still increase its stake in KAMAZ in the near future. We will consider this option soon.

I wish you every success this year. I have confidence that this company will not only overcome the hardships caused by the recession, but will even expand, taking advantage of its opportunities in the domestic and international markets.

Good luck!

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin met with the KAMAZ-Master team after the signing ceremony.

Vladimir Putin's address at the meeting:

Good afternoon. Allow me to congratulate you once again. This is your ninth win overall, isn't it? For you it's the sixth. Your ninth at Dakar, and you also organised and won the major rally Silk Way, showcasing your skills and the capabilities of Russian vehicles.

Your efforts have won international recognition for KAMAZ, which certainly helps the company to promote its products on the domestic and international markets and attracts partners, such as the world-famous German company, to participate in its share capital.

Today our partners expanded their participation, acquiring another 5% and increasing their stake to 15%. As you probably heard, I have just mentioned that Russian Technologies may increase its stake in the company on behalf of the government. We will support KAMAZ during these hard times so that it can prosper on its own in the future.

Congratulations once again. I wish you every success!
