1978: Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Railway Engineering
1992: Graduated from the Russian Government Academy of the Economy
1980-1981: Senior foreman at Moscow's Moskvoretsky District repairs and construction group.
1981-1983: Chief mechanic at the Main Department for Material and Equipment Supplies of the RSFSR Ministry of the Fruit and Vegetable Industry.
1983-1986: Department head, then deputy director of the Main Department for Material and Equipment Supplies of the Russian Ministry of the Fruit and Vegetable Industry.
1986: Deputy head of the Department for Manufacturing and Distribution of Packaging at the Main Department for Material and Equipment Supplies of the RSFSR State Agro-Industrial Committee.
1986-1992: Deputy general director of the Moskva Agroindustrial Company, chairman of Agropromservice JSC and deputy general director of the Moskva Agroindustrial Company.
1992-1997: Head of the agriculture department and deputy head of the Lyubertsy District Administration in the Moscow Region.
