Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg

 
 
 

The Prime Minister, accompanied by the Director of the State Hermitage Museum, Mikhail Piotrovsky, and actress Alisa Freindlich, looked at the museum's exhibits paying particular attention to the exhibition of French enamelwork, the Impressionists Room and Japanese art.

During the tour of the museum Mikhail Piotrovsky showed Vladimir Putin and Alisa Freindlich the sword of Grand Prince Nikolai Romanov Sr. The relic was in the custody of the Tsar's descendants and was handed over to the Hermitage in December.

In one of the museum's rooms, the Prime Minister talked to fourth-grade pupils from St. Petersburg's School #531 who were accompanied by their teacher.
