Prime Minister Vladimir Putin participated in a meeting of Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) heads of government

Vladimir Putin's address:

Colleagues, friends, allow me to welcome again everyone who has joined us at this meeting in Russia's northern capital. This is the first time the Presidential Library, named after Boris Yeltsin, plays host to a significant international event.

This is a building of historic interest. It housed the Holy Synod, and the Senate was previously located nearby. Both complexes were recently renovated. I hope we all will enjoy working within its walls.

It is gratifying that our recent meetings have advanced integration development. Our common anti-recessionary efforts have proven effective. The Customs Union is becoming a reality. We have just presented you with a report on the progress of this cooperation. We are close to the creation of a common economic space.

I expect that this meeting will be held in an informal, benevolent and sincere atmosphere.

Once again, welcome!
