Vyacheslav Dudka, Governor of the Tula Region
Born: April 23, 1960, in Tula.
1982: Graduated with honours from the Tula Higher Artillery Engineering Institute.
2008: Graduated with honours from the Orel Regional Civil Service Academy, a state institution for higher professional education.
Received a PhD (Technology) and the title of Professor.
June 1982-July 1998: served at the Main Agency of Missiles and Artillery of the Russian Defence Ministry. Earned the rank of Colonel. Currently retired.
Since August 1998: served as first deputy chief designer and director of the state-owned KBP Instrument Design Bureau chief engineer.
April 29, 2005: appointed Governor of the Tula Region.
Member of the State Council of the Russian Federation.
Married with three children.
