Kislovodsk resort and health spa parklands

Kislovodsk is a national resort town, blessed with a picturesque landscape, diverse flora and fauna, a salubrious climate, and a source of the famed Narzan mineral water.

The Kislovodsk resort is home to Europe's largest health resort. The 948-hectare complex of spas and parkland is located to the South and South East of the town of Kislovodsk, between 800 and 1360 metres above sea level, between the Olkhovka River and the Djinalsky Mountains.

Over 300 types of local and exotic shrubs and trees and 800 kinds of grasses can be found on the resort's grounds. The picturesque environment is also home to a great variety of birds and wildlife. The Kislovodsk resort's size, diversity of flora and fauna, climate, and terrain make it unparalleled in Europe.

There are also many monuments and structures of architectural interest on the resort grounds, including the Narzan Gallery, the colonnade, the cascading staircase, the Lermontov Courtyard, the Bridge of Ladies' Whims, and many others.

Moreover, the resort grounds are rich in natural monuments, such as the Red Stones, the Grey Stones, and the Blue Stones, which add to the area's unique character. The resort also includes recreational areas such as the Rose Valley, the Glass String, Mirror Pond, Red Sun, and the Cathedral of Air.

One of the resort's main aims is to preserve the valuable natural abundance of its grounds, and use this resource for purposes of education, recreation, and research.
