Prime Minister Vladimir Putin laid a wreath at the Glory Memorial in Barnaul and met with WWII veterans on the Day of Memory and Grief

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin laid a wreath at the Glory Memorial in Barnaul and met with WWII veterans on the Day of Memory and Grief on June 22.

The group of WWII veterans included Alexei Skurlatov, who posed for the Alyosha monument in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

After that, Mr Putin visited the pantheon bearing the names of over 16,000 residents of Altai who perished during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).

Later the Prime Minister talked with Barnaul residents who gathered at the memorial site.
