

The Miratorg Agribusiness Holding was established in 1995.
Today, the holding is one of Russia's leading investors in the agro-industrial complex. The general volume of the company's investments in agricultural production, processing and infrastructure exceeded 25 billion roubles for the period 2005-2008.
Miratorg is a vertically-integrated conglomerate. It includes:
- Two grain companies;
- Combined fodder plant;
- Grain elevator;
- Ten large automated pig farms;
- Automated slaughter and meat processing enterprise;
- State-of-the-art meat semifinished products plant;
- Transport company;
- Three modern low-temperature distribution centres;
- Distribution companies.
The holding employs 4,500 people. In 2009, an additional 1,500 jobs will be created.
Miratorg grows grain crops on 80,000 hectares in the Belgorod and Bryansk regions using up-to-date equipment and high technology. The barley yield is 30% greater than the average in Russia, corn 50%, wheat 80%. 600 employees are necessary for grain production.
The company's plant in the Belgorod Region produces high-quality combined fodder and has a capacity of 240,000 tonnes per year. It uses a 60,000-tonne grain elevator.
Miratorg's main activity is pork production. The holding includes ten automated pig farms located in the Belgorod Region with a general capacity of 1.15 million pigs or 130,000 tonnes in live weight per year. 1,300 people work for these farms.
Miratorg's pig farms comply with the highest world standards. The pedigree pigs and equipment were purchased from leading European producers. The holding's farms are as technically complete as their European counterparts: the feed conversion rate is 2.43 kg per 1 kg of weight increment, which is 2.5 times more than in Europe, the number of piglets per one sow is 25.74, which is 1.5 more than in Europe; meat per one sow averages 1,655.8 kg.
All the farms are equipped with contemporary treatment facilities and comply with international environmental standards.
In 2009, Miratorg opened Russia's largest slaughter and meat processing enterprise with a capacity of 2 million pigs per year (or 165,000 tonnes in carcass weight) in the Belgorod Region.
The semifinished products plant in the Kaliningrad Region manufacture 53,000 tonnes of product per year.
Miratorg has three low-temperature storage facilities with a general capacity of 39,000 tonnes. The company supplies the largest retail chains, meat-processing plants and public catering enterprises (over 250,000 tonnes of food per year).
Miratorg's performance is as high as that of leading world producers.
In 2007, the company reported IFRS revenues of 23.577 billion roubles, and EBITDA 3.317 billion. To finance its projects, the holding uses both its own and borrowed funds. Miranorg works with Sberbank and Vnesheconombank
