Vladimir Putin attended the presentation of the educational film “Learning Judo with Vladimir Putin”

Speaking at the presentation, Mr Putin said: "The video's name itself is an advertising trick. Because everyone who will see this instructional video will learn not from me, but from real masters: Japanese sportsmen, recognised masters, Russian athletes, world champions, winners of Olympic Games, and this is important."

Vladimir Putin also spoke about the positive influence of sports on modern society.

"The development of sports in the country defines the development of the country itself. A society's interest in sports bespeaks the maturity of the society, because without sports there is no healthy lifestyle, no healthy nation. Sports consolidates society and defines its development in many ways," he said.

The presentation's organisers said that the video was an original birthday present to Vladimir Putin.
