The dairy complex Voroshilov Village Agricultural Company is an enterprise under construction designed for 1,800 cows with annual milk output of 45,000 metric tons.

Under the resolution of the Russian Federation Ministry of Agriculture interdepartmental committee, the complex has been included in the national project list. The total financing amounts to 500 million roubles.

The construction has been separated into two stages. The first stage, which included building a cowshed for 576 cows and a milking shop, was completed and commissioned in December 2006. The second stage, which includes building a cowshed for 576 cows, a maternity barn, silage-hay trenches, a 14,000 cubic meters dung pit, a sterilisation unit, a building for dry cows, and engineering and communication networks, should be ready in autumn 2008. The complete commissioning of the object is expected in autumn 2008.

The main building is a light wooden structure with protective screening along the perimeter. The cows are kept untied in boxes with sand floors; there are 71 cows in each section. The feeding is the same all year round and consists of homogeneous mixtures. The cows are milked in a milking hall with the use of Europarallel milking equipment for 40 simultaneously milked animals. The dung is removed with water and a deltascraper. The fractioned mixture is collected and stored in pits. The standard daily dung output (dense fraction) of a cow is 0.6 cubic metres. It is stored for up to six months to be applied to the fields.

To purchase breeding cattle and milking equipment, the company took out a loan for 610 million roubles and 1,197,000 euros at Rosselkhozbank. In October-November 2005, the first 530 heifer cows were imported from the Netherlands. In September 2006, 98 cows were purchased, in December 2006 - 228, in January 2007 - 332, in February 2007 - 86 and in June 2007 - 204 (totally, 1,478 heads).

Loan contracts for 169 million roubles were signed for building the fodder shop for processing concentrated, rough and juicy fodders.

In 2007, the production of milk amounted to 6,722 metric tons with the average milk yield of 8,396 litres per cow. 1,064 calves were born, i.e. 98 calves per 100 cows. The average daily weight gain of a calf is 812 grams. Milk sales raised 57,086,000 roubles. The profitability is 28%.

On April 1, 2008, 2,099 heads of cattle were registered including 156 heifers and 1,009 cows.

The company employs 46 people with an average salary of 8,941 roubles.
