Prime Minister Vladimir Putin inspects agricultural machinery on his working visit to the Voronezh Region
Tractors, combines, and various towing vehicles offered to Russian agricultural producers on favourable leasing terms were displayed right on the airfield of the Voronezh Aircraft Production Association where the prime minister's plane landed.
Rosagroleasing General Director Valery Nazarov told Vladimir Putin that this year some 9.5 billion roubles are allocated to provide farmers with equipment under favourable leasing schemes. The funds will come from the federal budget and other sources. To date Rosagroleasing's client base includes 4,000 agricultural producers all over Russia. The company offers products of 71 enterprises including many Russian companies, Mr Nazarov said. "The greatest demand is for Kirovets tractors," he said, pointing to a big red tractor.
The prime minister lingered near a single-engine crop duster. "Unfortunately, it has a US engine. But it can take off from unpaved roads and spray chemicals over 2,800 hectares. It takes ten days for overland machinery to accomplish this," Mr Nazarov said.
