Oleg Betin, Head of the Administration of the Tambov Region

Born in 1950, Tambov.
Graduated from the Tambov Institute of Chemical Engineering, finished his postgraduate studies at the Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry, graduated from the Russian-American School of Business and Administration at the Tambov Technical University.
1972-1981: Worked as an engineer and a senior researcher at the R&D Institute of Chemicals for Polymeric Materials in Tambov.
1981-1991: Head of the district authorities and subsequently of the city authorities in the Tambov Region.
1991- 1995: Deputy head and then first deputy head of the administration of the Tambov Region.
1995 (March): Appointed head of the Administration of the Tambov Region by the President of the Russian Federation.
1996-1998: Head of the department of the Federal Treasury for the Tambov Region.
1998-1999: Presidential plenipotentiary envoy for the Tambov Region.
1999 (December): Governor of the Tambov Region.
2010 (June 7): Appointed head of the Administration of the Tambov region.
