NIzhny Tagil 2011 Eighth International exhibition of arms, military equipment and ammunition

- unmanned, multipurpose systems;

- equipment for railway troops.

Over 250 Russian and 20 foreign organisations from seven countries (France, Italy, Sweden, Turkey, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan) are attending the exhibition. Sixty-four Russian organisations from 25 regions will present their military produce that includes 1,102 military-oriented items with 213 full-scale prototypes.

The exhibition will unfold in the pavilions and open-air venues spreading across the area of 4,000 sq m.

The exhibition centre features some unique events, such as operation displays.

The exhibition centre contains

- a test track with obstacles for armoured vehicle demonstrations;

- artillery positions and a 1.5x52 km firing range for shooting and firing demonstrations;

- water training area for demonstration of water obstacle negotiation;

- a platform for demonstration of the capacities of firing weapons with a range between 25 m and 1,000 m;

- a flight test base with an airfield and aircraft fleet;

- a demonstration railroad;

- a platform equipped for demonstration of civil protection and emergency relief equipment;

- a multichannel television centre that receives real-life visual data on exhibition shootings with targets up to 50 km.

The visitor will be able to see the latest developments of the Russian arms industry in action.

One of the most interesting exhibits is T-90S, a modernised version of the T-90 tank.
