The council was established on the executive order of the presidential plenipotentiary envoy to the district in December 2010 and is a permanent consultative body.
Main functions
improving coordination between government bodies in carrying out youth policy;
supporting socially important initiatives and programmes aimed at improving the position of children and young people;
create conditions for developing forms and methods of effective youth policy with the use of latest scientific achievements and experience.
The council has held three meetings, during which it discussed youth employment, the operation of the headquarters of national student teams in the district's regions and measures to counter the manifestations of extremism in the North Caucasus.
