Born 20 December, 1975, Leningrad, today's St Petersburg.
He is among the youngest regional leaders.
Education
In 1998, he graduated from the State University of Aerospace Instrument Engineering and received his Manager-Engineer degree. He also completed a course under the Presidential Programm e to Train Managers for Russian Economic Organisations. In 2004, he won the St Petersburg Youth Prize.
Experience
1991-1993: Coach-Instructor with the Cosmonaut Junior League Olympic Reserve School. He holds the title of Master of Sport of the USSR.
1993-1996: Director General of the LenNort Trade-Industrial Company.
1996-2007: Held top managerial positions at the Leninets Holding Company.
2005-2008: Worked as Youth Policy Coordinator with the United Russia Political Party.
He is a member of the United Russia Political Party's General Council.
2007: Elected Deputy of the Fourth Pskov Regional Legislature from the United Russia Party's regional chapter.
Since July 6, 2007: Member of the Federation Council from the Pskov Regional Legislature.
February 27, 2009: Approved to the post of Governor by the Pskov Regional Legislature.
Married with four children.
