On May 5, 2011, the Pskov Region started actively implementing the United Russia Party's project "New Roads of the Russian Cities."
Under the project, 200,431 sq. m. of regional roads will be repaired in 2011, including:
- Pskov: 100,577 sq. m. on six streets;
- Velikiye Luki: 47,676 sq. m. on eight streets;
- Pechory: 19,228 sq. m. on four streets;
- Stary Izborsk: 31,000 sq. m. on four streets;
- Orsha village in the Novorzhevsky District: 1,950 sq. m.
During 2011-2013, the following works will be completed in Pskov's courtyard territories:
- restoring asphalt pavement in 468 courtyards and driveways (2011: 134 courtyards; 2012: 152 courtyards; and 2013: 175 buildings);
- complete renovation of ten courtyard territories;
- installing small architectural facilities, including benches, summer-houses, dust-bins, and container sites.
This year, 149.7 million roubles' worth of federal budget subsidies are to be allocated for the overhaul of streets and courtyard territories in Pskov, including:
Street repairs - 49.9 million roubles
Courtyard territory repairs - 99.8 million roubles
The list of courtyard territories subject for repairs and overhaul this year at federal expense has been drafted under the long-term targeted program "The Improvement of Courtyard Territories of the Pskov City Municipal Entity in 2011-2013." The list comprises 157 courtyards and driveways. In total, 105 million roubles (with municipal budget allocations included) will be spent on repairing city courtyards.
Apart from federal subsidies, the regional administration plans to allocate 60.2 million roubles from the regional budget to the city for repairing another four streets.
As a result, over 300 million roubles' worth of federal, regional, and municipal budget allocations will be spent on repairing city streets and courtyards.
