The work of the regional public reception office of the United Russia Party Chairperson

The public reception office, which was opened on August 28, 2008, comprises the federal, regional, and municipal sectors. The leaders of state-power agencies and deputies of federal, regional and municipal legislatures receive visitors in relevant sectors.
Since its inception, the public reception office has received 4,600 citizens, or 140 visitors per month. In all, 27% of complaints received a positive reply.
In 2010, the reception office handled 1,520 complaints, making favourable decisions for 376 of them, or 24.7%. In 2011, it has so far handled 610 appeals, making favourable decisions for 102 of them (21.7%).
Elderly pensioners and economically active individuals accounted for 56% and 25% of the filed complaints, respectively. The unemployed and those in other social categories made up for 4% and 17%, respectively.
Senior citizens aged over 50 years accounted for 65% of the complaints. Those between 30 and 50 years of age accounted for 29%, and those under 30 years old made up for 16%, respectively.
The complaints were primarily linked with housing and municipal utilities services (26%). They were followed by social support issues (20%). People are also concerned about housing problems (18%) and healthcare issues. In all, 16% of complaints were linked with the provision of medications and treatment at sanatoria and resorts.
A "law clinic" for Pskov Region residents, established together with the Pskov Institute of Law has opened at the public reception office. In addition, the "People's Programme" regional partisan project is being actualized.
