Education
Graduated from the department of economics at Perm State University.
Experience
1992-1993: Worked as a journalist for the programme "Evening in the Kama Region" on the Perm state television channel.
1993: Established and became head of the investment company Fin Ist.
1998: Appointed vice-president of the Perm Finance and Industrial Group, member of the group's management board.
2001: Elected deputy of the Perm Region legislative assembly. Worked as deputy chairman and then chairman of the assembly's Committee for Economic Policy and Taxes.
2002: Appointed deputy director general of the Parma Investment and Banking Group.
2003: Appointed director general of the Parma Investment and Banking Group.
2004-2005: Worked as the Perm Region deputy governor.
2006: Reelected deputy of the Perm Region legislative assembly.
2007: Was ranked first on the list of the Union of Right Forces party at State Duma elections.
2008: Resigned as chairman of the Union of Right Forces party's federal political council and left the party.
December 8, 2008: Nominated by the President of Russia for the post of Kirov Region Governor.
December 18, 2008: Appointed Kirov Region Governor by the Kirov Region legislative assembly.
