Vasily Golubev, Head of the Rostov Region Administration (governor)

Born on January 30, 1957 in the Cossack village of Yermakovskaya,
the Tatsinskiy District, Rostov Region.
Education
1980: Graduated from the Moscow Ordzhonikidze Institute of Management
as a planning engineer.
Experience:
1980: Began his career at a cargo transportation company in the town of
Vidnoye near Moscow where local Communists promoted him to leadership
positions in party bodies.
1991: appointed, and in 1996 elected head of the Lenino District, Moscow
Region.
April 1999: deputy governor of Moscow Region.
March 2000: first deputy chairman of the government of the Moscow
Region, in charge of development in research and industry, agriculture, the
food supply, housing and utilities, fuel and energy, construction sector of the
Moscow Region.
December 2003 and March 2008: re-elected as governor of the Lenino
District, Moscow Region.
May 21, 2010: nominated by the president of the Russian Federation
as a candidate for the head of the Rostov Region Administration (Governor) and then deputies of the Rostov Region legislature gave him the relevant powers. Assumed office on June 14, 2010.
Other
Graduated from the Russian Academy of Civil Service under the President
of the Russian Federation. Has a PhD in Law and is Doctor of Economics.

Married, with two children.
