Established in 2003, Eurodon is now a major agribusiness holding company and leader of the Russian market in turkey production and processing: the company’s products have more than 40% share of the relevant market in Russia. Vnesheconombank, the Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs, is a partner of the holding. Its facilities in the Rostov Region employ over 3,200 people.
At its first stage of development the enterprise produced 11,200 tonnes of turkey meat a year. An additional investment loan provided by Vnesheconombank allowed the annual output capacity to increase to up to 30,200 tonnes of turkey meat by the end of 2009.
A number of large-scale investment projects are underway. Among such projects is the construction of a unique complex in the Ust-Donetsk District of the Rostov Region for raising turkeys to lay eggs, with a capacity of 6.2 million eggs a year. There are no comparable facilities to this non-profit investment project in the Russian Federation. It is intended to lower the risks involved in the company’s dependence on foreign suppliers of turkey eggs.
In 2010 the Eurodon group of companies and German Avermann launched a major joint social project of establishing an integrated factory producing housing. Beginning in 2006, Eurodon products have been on the consumer market under the Indolina trademark developed in cooperation with world branding agency Identica (UK).
The Eurodon meat-processing complex is applying the latest techniques and developments providing for a comprehensive quality control at all stages of production: from the incubator to the final product.
