Hyundai Motor

Established in 1967, today Hyundai Motor is South Korea's leading automaker exporting more than 1 million vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, trucks and buses. The automaker transformed into the Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group which embraces more than two dozen branches and units related to car manufacturing. In 2007, the automaker ranked fifth in the world. Today, the concern churns out 3.4 million cars a year (1.7 million cars in Korea and 1.7 million cars abroad) and employs more than 75,000 people around the world.

Hyundai Motor is implementing a new global location strategy aimed at engineering, designing, selling and marketing cars, as well as catering to customers in compliance with local and global market requirements. It has plants in the United States, India, China, Turkey and the Czech Republic, while its immediate plans include launching car manufacturing in Russia and Brazil.
