Concord-Cooking Line

Concord-Cooking Line is the first factory in Russia producing meals for schools, factories, hospitals and other public facilities.

The factory is located in St Petersburg, occupies an area of 8,500 square metres and employs a staff of more than 400. The use of modern technology in preparing meals has allowed the company to address three central problems in providing meals to the public: safety, price and quality. The plant produces chilled foods with a long shelf life (up to 21 days) without adding preservatives or pasteurizing them. The foods, nonetheless, retain their taste and nutritional value.

The factory bought equipment for its product lines and automation systems from the world's leading manufacturers. The factory is able to produce 100,000 meals a day. The factory ensures food safety by complying with the standards of the international food safety management system HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), which provides for full control throughout every stage of food production, storage and transportation.

The factory uses more than 100 tonnes of raw food products daily, which it buys from local farmers, who now have a steady market for their produce. For example, a factory producing prepared food in Yanino will use more than 30% of the Vsevolzhsk region's farming produce, according to independent estimates.

Concord-Cooking Line plans to build 260 factories in Russia in the next ten years. The company has begun building a factory in the Moscow Region and is getting down to the construction of two more factories in Krasnodar and the Tambov Region. Other Russian regions are also being considered.
