Alexei Kuzmitsky, Governor of Kamchatka Territory

Born August 5, 1967, in Belovo, Kemerovo Region. Russian.

1992: Graduated from Ulyanov Leningrad (now St Petersburg) Electrotechnical Institute with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Began working as a commercial manager of the small business Avto-Nova in Pskov.

Worked as a supplies engineer in Limited Liability Partnership PDP until 1995.

1995-2001: Worked as director for commercial affairs in the private business Eva, then as deputy director for economic and financial affairs at Pskov Electric Machine Building Plant.

1999: Graduated cum laude from the St Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics (in absentia) with a degree in Finance and Credit.

2002-2004: Headed financial department of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise National Fish Resources and commercial department of the north-western inter-regional public organisation the Cosmonautics Federation of Russia in St Petersburg.

2004-May 2005: Deputy general director for economic and financial affairs of the union Regional Rescue Service; advisor of general director of the Russian Institute of Radio-navigation and Time in St Petersburg.

2003: Had a course of professional development training at the North-West Academy of Public Administration.

2005: Received a degree in State and Municipal Administration.

2005-May 2007: Head of the local government department of the Kamchatka Territory's administrative bodies, deputy governor of the Kamchatka Territory.

July 2, 2007: Appointed governor of the Kamchatka Territory.

Married, with a daughter.
