Prime Minister Vladimir Putin inspected the areas that were hit by fires, spoke with the people who live in the villages that had been destroyed and held a meeting to outline the measures to restore housing and provide support to the victims of the fires. The prime minister decided to personally oversee the implementation of these decisions.
He instructed regional leaders to visit the areas affected by the fires to survey the current situation and take the necessary measures to manage the destruction left from the fires and provide support to the people.
Prime Minister Putin signed an executive order allocating funds from the federal budget to the Belgorod, Ivanovo, Kirov, Lipetsk, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, Tambov, Tula, Ulyanovsk, Vladimir and Voronezh Regions and the Republics of Mordovia and Tatarstan to compensate people for the property that was lost in the fires.
The government has allocated five billion roubles for these purposes.
These funds will be used to restore infrastructure, repair housing damaged in the fires, build new housing, pay up to 100,000 roubles to every person affected by the fires and provide the families of the deceased with one million roubles for every person that was killed in the fires.
The executive order also recommends that regional authorities contribute an additional 100,000 roubles from their budgets to every person who has lost property in the fires.
