Born June 14, 1951 in Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod).
Education
1974: graduated from the Zhdanov Gorky Polytechnic Institute.
Experience
1968-1969: Test fitter at the Ulyanov Plant in Gorky until enrolment at an institute.
1974-1985: Assistant foreman, foreman, deputy production chief, production chief, head of the materials and supplies department, and deputy general director in charge of commercial issues at the Ulyanov Plant.
1985-1993: chief engineer and first deputy general director, general director, director of the Ulyanov Plant.
1993-1995: General director of Termal Company.
1996-1998: Deputy of the State Duma;
