AgroTechMash-T

The company was established in 2008 with the support of Rosagroleasing and is the first large agricultural machinery plant to be set up in Russia in the last decade.

The area occupied by the enterprise is 12 hectares (1291.7 sq ft) with over 70,000 square metres (over 753,000 sq ft) allocated for production facilities.

AgroTechMash-T manufactures wheeled agricultural tractors of drawbar categories three, four and five (180-280 hp). Each vehicle is 15%-20% cheaper than similar machinery produced outside of Russia.

The tractors can be used as part of energy-intensive general-purpose farm work such as primary and secondary tillage, planting, seeding, harvesting with highly productive wide-cut machines and combined hauling operations. The vehicles of the third drawbar category with unique features were assembled from parts supplied by the world's leading producers.

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture awarded the title of the best tractor of 2006 to the ATM 3180 model manufactured by AgroTechMash-T. Terrion АТМ 5280 (280 hp) received the title of the best tractor of 2007.

Aside from the agricultural machinery and attachment groups, the range of AgroTechMash-T developments includes multipurpose equipment for road construction, forestry, municipal engineering, loading and shipping operations.

Terrion's versatility makes it possible to simultaneously use tools and attachments made by different producers.

The company is currently developing a series of Terrion combine harvesters. The original parts were provided by Sampo Rosenlew (Finland). The production range offers nine models suitable for different soil types, climates, harvesting capacities, and crop rotations.

Since 2008, the factory has been running a five-year investment project to develop mass production of agricultural tractors in the Tambov Region. The available project funds now stand at 816.6 million roubles. The project is expected to provide 145 jobs.

In 2009, AgroTechMash-T produced 227 machinery units, which included a new 4200 series wheeled tractor and SR 2000 and SR 3000 combine harvesters.

Further expansion will mean it will be possible to manufacture a drawbar category seven tractor, another potentially successful development.

The use of the newest Russian tractor models such as Terrion by AgroTechMash-T should encourage progress in farming machinery production in the Central Black Earth Region and in the whole agriculture development and import substitution programme.
