I am sorry to have to disappoint the members of the Abba tribute band, Björn Again, who seem to believe that they performed for the Russian Prime Minister at Lake Valdai on the evening of Jan 22 ("Putin's secret assignation with the dancing queens", Feb 6).
I don't know who their audience consisted of, but Vladimir Putin was not one of them. He was actually working in his office that Thursday evening, meeting members of the Cabinet.
By the way, Mr Putin is more of a Beatles fan than an Abba one, as you can see if you read an interview by Andrew Lloyd Webber with Mr Putin on our website: premier.gov.ru/eng/events/1645.html.
