Komsomolskaya Pravda: “I want to make them tackle the problems”

The prime minister said this in his interview to Komsomolskaya Pravda a year ago. It seems he is not going to change his strategy regarding the road construction industry.

Before the videoconference that took place in the Government House yesterday, the author of this article listened to the interview he made with Putin a year ago and heard the statements that he didn't include in last year's article but which explain very clearly what the prime minister wants from the road workers.

"When I told you I am not here to just hand out awards," said Putin, "I meant that my task is to make them tackle the problems, find weak points, and draw the attention of ministries and agencies to these weak points... Lorry drivers and long-haul truck drivers are happy with what they have. They say you can't imagine how bad it has been just recently. But the government is not a lorry driver and it can't be happy with what it has. We should move on, move further..."
