Izvestia: "Putin receives Perpetual Student statuette"

The prime minister visited Moscow State University of Railway Engineering, where he was shown a multimedia classroom featuring Russia’s largest model of the transport system.

We made the model ourselves," students told the prime minister. "Nobody else has anything of the kind. It is an invaluable learning aid for future engineers and road designers."

At the end of the visit, Rector Boris Levin presented Vladimir Putin with the Perpetual Student silver statuette depicting a person sitting on a bench.

Yesterday Ford Motor Company and Sollers signed an agreement on the establishment of a joint venture for the production of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles at the university. The prime minister attended the event.

The two companies also signed a memorandum of intent with Vnesheconombank, which is to open a 39 billion rouble credit line for the joint venture. The two companies' manufacturing facilities will be involved in the joint venture, including plants in Vsevolozhsk (Leningrad Region), Naberezhnye Chelny and the Special Economic Zone Alabuga, Tatarstan.
