Today Dmitry Medvedev will be receiving citizens at his reception office. This is the third time Medvedev has opened his doors to the public – the first was on April 9, 2009, when his reception office was inaugurated, and the second three months later. After the first reception session, Medvedev declared that such meetings were to be held on a regular basis: "We will be using this form of monitoring on a regular basis, because it does not incur any significant administrative costs and at the same time is very efficient," he said.
As for Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, he is planning to hold another live Q&A session on TV in December, according to his spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. It's worth mentioning that this will already be the ninth such session to be organised by the prime minister. Last year, the session was held on December 3. "A Conversation with Vladimir Putin Continued" was broadcast live by the Rossiya and Vesti TV channels and on Mayak and Radio Rossii radio stations. The session lasted four hours and one minute, during which time the prime minister answered 80 questions. In 2008, a similar Q&A session was three hours and eight minutes long and included 72 questions.
