Komsomolskaya Pravda: "2СIS professionals to be trained to work in Russia"

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin expressed support for the idea of creating a special national programme for training specialists from CIS countries for work in Russia. Farit Mukhametshin, head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Cultural Cooperation, told the prime minister:
"We currently have a programme to train Tajikistani young people at home. They study for two years at a technical or vocational school. In this way they will learn Russian and will be trained in a profession so they can be assigned work in Russia in an organised fashion."
"Prepare this programme," Vladimir Putin said.
And added that the programme must correspond to the current international standards and "meet the country's own national interests in relations with the neighbours" at the same time.
The head of the agency also told the prime minister about the promotion of the Russian language in CIS countries: there were special centers, schools, courses and textbooks. In the next few years, science and culture centres will be opened in all CIS countries to support the local Russian population and the Russian language.
