According to the prime minister, the former Yukos's CEO should confess his guilt in full.
As reported Wednesday, Vladimir Putin held a press conference (see our web site www.kp.ru). One of the questions posed by reporters concerned a pardon for former Yukos's CEO Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
Following the meeting, the prime minister's secretary Dmitry Peskov reported that, as far as Mr Putin is concerned, when one speaks about Khodorkovsky or certain other guilty figures, one should bear in mind that they were involved in murders, which has been proven in court.
"Answering the question about a possible pardon, the prime minister stressed that this right is prescribed by law. However, the guilty party should confess his guilt in full and file a request [in court] in order to enjoy this right," Peskov said.
