Moscow has been hosting Old Timer Gallery, the largest vintage car show in Eastern Europe, for the last seven years.

The show's organisers always find something unusual with which to rivet the public eye. This time, visitors will see Vladimir Putin's Zaporozhets passenger car. Mr Putin won the car in a DOSAAF (Voluntary Society for Assisting the Army, Air Force and the Navy) lottery. This was Putin's first private car.

The unique 12-ton Stalinets-65 tractor, which was extremely popular during the first Five-Year Economic Plan periods, will also be displayed. In late 2008, the tractor was removed from a swamp and rebuilt by enthusiasts working three shifts per day. The tractor will be driven to the exhibition under its own power.

The show will also feature luxury cars, vintage music, driving suits, accessories, a nostalgic artists' alley, antique furniture, chinaware, bronze artefacts, old weapons and books.

A technical flea market offering auto related souvenirs, decals, old posters, plaques, costumes and accessories of the bygone age, collector models, rare photos and much more will also be organised.

The show will be held March 19-22 at the Crocus Expo exhibition centre on the 66th kilometre of the Moscow Belt Highway. Tickets cost 500 roubles. A free shuttle service will operate from Planernaya metro station.
