Komsomolskaya Pravda: “The Premier will get his own website”

Viktor Larin
People will now be able to use the site to write directly to the Prime Minister.
The kremlin.ru site was active during Putin's presidency. Last spring, it was "inherited" by the new head of state, Dmitry Medvedev, while Putin moved to the www.government.ru site. By clicking "government chairman", visitors to the site can read the Prime Minister's biography and his speeches.
This does not seem to be enough for a politician of Mr Putin's stature, however. What about photos, video, detailed accounts of his trips to the regions which happen every week? People want to know what the Prime Minister did when he visited their city, what he took the local bosses to task over, and what he promised.
Mindful of all this, Mr Putin's press service set about organising the Prime Minister's personal site, which so far has the working address premier.gov.ru. The portal will most likely be launched early next year. It will have information about the Prime Minister's trips to the regions that have taken place as well as those that Mr Putin is planning, something that formerly was a closely guarded secret.
It will also feature articles written about Mr Putin in the Russian and foreign press. By the way, during Putin's presidency, his portal carried not only positive, but, not infrequently, critical comments.
Most importantly, by visiting the site, one can communicate with the Prime Minister and send a message to him. It is very simple: you write it on the site and send it. It is sure to reach the addressee.
Top IT experts are developing the Prime Minister's site. By the way, protecting Putin's site against hackers will be a priority.
