Accompanied by VGIK Rector Vladimir Malyshev, Mr Putin visited the floor where operators conducted practical training. He was presented with a small statue of an operator with a camera, VGIK's symbol, across his shoulder.
In addition, Mr Putin familiarized himself with the sound dubbing studios, where students were working on the new equipment. One of them showed Mr Putin how he could synchronize shots and sounds in a documentary about the Spetsnaz Task Force.
In conclusion, Mr Putin visited VGIK's pride, a new sound mixing studio with the most modern equipment. Mr Malyshev observed that Holywood film makers also have to stand in line to use it.
