On October 6, 2008, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will pay a working visit to the Republic of Belarus and will attend a meeting of the Union State's Council of Ministers.

There are plans to discuss important aspects of Russian-Belarusian trade and economic cooperation, scientific, technical and investment cooperation, joint space-exploration and environmental-protection projects and prospects for expanded bilateral cultural exchanges.
