Meeting with Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme
Vladimir Putin: Dear Mr. Prime Minister, dear colleagues, we are very happy to welcome you in Russia, in Sochi. I think that the economic forum is a very good reason to be here.

I was pleased to see what was presented by the Belgian side. I cannot help but mention that our growing trade has reached $6 billion. I was particularly pleased to see the increasing Belgian investments in the Russian economy. Importantly, some of them are direct.

We are very glad to see you, dear Mr. Prime Minister. You are welcome!

Ives Leterme (as translated): I would like to thank you for the hospitality which was extended to us not only by the forum's organizers and participants but also by you personally. We are very grateful to you for that.

I am proud to lead a very representative and large delegation of Belgian businessmen that are already operating in the Russian market, and that are going to use this opportunity to expand their presence here.

Our two countries have a very good tradition of intensive cooperation. I want this tradition to continue. I believe we will have a very interesting conversation on this score. We have more subjects for discussion and we will get to them.

Many thanks!
