Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed a Resolution on support in 2008 of temporarily displaced citizens of South Ossetia

The Government adopted resolution No. 585 of August 11, 2008 On Support to the People of South Ossetia who Temporarily Moved out of Places of their Permanent Residence to the Territory of the Russian Federation in 2008.
The Resolution signed by Prime Minister Putin states that in 2008 the provision of living expenses to the people of South Ossetia who temporarily moved out of their habitual residences after August 7, 2008 and are located on the territory of the Russian Federation in 2008, registered by the territorial bodies of the Federal Migration Service, will be done out of the federal budget funds. This also applies to the payment of fares and luggage transportation to the places of their permanent residence in South Ossetia.
