Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits Moscow State University of Civil Engineering

The prime minister was shown a model of a future complex to be built at Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MSUCE). Rector Valery Telichenko told Putin that a campus construction plan has been completed – with assistance from the Ministry of Regional Development and other agencies. A roofed track-and-field arena, a swimming pool, and a skating rink will be built on the campus. Vladimir Putin inquired as to how much the construction of the complex would cost. According to the rector, the construction of the facilities, which must be completed within ten years, will cost around 15-20 billion roubles. "That's an entire city," the prime minister said, commenting on Valery Telichenko's plans.

Vladimir Putin also looked at the research and education complex for construction materials science, in particular, the laboratory for construction composites, solutions and concretes, where new types of concrete are being developed for use under different climate conditions. The prime minister was given a demonstration of the material of the future, the latest development of the laboratory's specialists. According to laboratory employees, the material is so unique that any type of building or construction can be made from it.

While visiting the centre for information processing systems and intelligent automation, the prime minister examined the work of Umny Dom (Clever House), an intelligent system used to control buildings. "The result should be that the system works reliably, and consumers feel comfortable," Vladimir Putin said.
