Vasily Lanovoi told the Prime Minister about his creative plans, including those concerning the preparation of the Vakhtangov Theatre for its 90th anniversary, which will be celebrated in November. Vladimir Putin, for his part, promised to provide any necessary support for the preparations.
They also discussed issues related to acting education, such as preserving the traditional system of acting education in Russia.
During the meeting, the conversation also moved to providing care for veterans of theatre and cinema. In addition, they discussed the construction of a monument to People's Artist of the USSR Vyacheslav Tikhonov at his grave in the Novodevichye cemetery. The Culture Ministry will assist in the construction.
