Those present at the lying in state at the Abkhazian State Philharmonic Hall in Sukhumi stood up as the Russian Prime Minister entered. Approaching the coffin, Vladimir Putin laid some burgundy roses on it, and stood there for some time, then bowed to the deceased Abkhazian president.
He then went up to Sergei Bagapsh's widow, his son and his daughter to give them his condolences and words of support.
