The message said, in part:

"Your forum is timed to the thousandth anniversary of Yaroslavl and the 10th anniversary of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia. It comes as a landmark in regional and national life. The forum discusses essential matters that concern the state, the community, researchers, educationalists and people of the arts-the study and preservation of linguistic heritage and unique ethnic cultural traditions.
